Paul is a seasoned project quality assurance and safety consultant, and competent management systems lead auditor, who has gained considerable experience and operational knowledge, delivering management roles across numerous sectors including Infrastructure Rail, Defence, Nuclear and Renewable Energy in Australia, the UK and the Middle East.

Paul enjoys delivering projects in which he can have a significant impact and add value to the client’s performance. He thrives on leadership roles in which he can adopt a strategic perspective, influence organisational policy and lead by example, addressing details to ensure successful implementation of projects.

Qualifications & Experience

A Chartered Fellow, Chartered Quality Professional, NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction, and a CQI IRCA Certified Lead Auditor. His experience includes covering a senior director role, as the Interim Head of Quality, and led the transition programme for several clients to successfully achieve ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001.  Paul has also led a major review of the company wide Integrated Management System (IMS) to unify the generic processes across a global operation, directing a specialist systems development team, leading to a global combined QSSE certification against the required ISO standards. Work included engagement with project delivery teams to adopt a risk based approach, recognise elements for improvement leading to a lean & fit for purpose IMS.

Areas of special expertise

Paul is able to Identify a problem and deliver solutions to senior team to implement new ways of working, and recognize the advantage of improving business operations to produce high quality outputs and remain competitive. Conduct detailed gap analysis using Lean principles to review existing business systems, and develop and facilitate a credible programme to quickly implement improvements

Adopting a risk based Total Quality Management approach to drive business assurance and getting the best out of people, able to communicate in a manner that outlines the benefits in any situation.
