Owen has 8 years of experience in work health and safety, including the development of management systems, policies, procedures, and safe operating practices. He has recently broadened his skillset to include the development, implementation, and auditing of QualityIQ Management Systems.

Qualifications & Experience

Owen has a bachelor of science with first-class honors in chemistry and has been trained as a Lead Auditor in WHS and QualityIQ Management Systems. He started his career with a WHS regulator and policy body before moving into the practitioner space to support a large scientific and research body. In recent years, Owen has shifted into consulting to support businesses achieve certification for their WHSEQ Management Systems. He has primarily supported businesses in the construction, trades, and engineering sectors.

While his passion remains all things chemical and chemistry-related, he has developed as a generalist in safety, systems, and business management. He thoroughly enjoys collaborating with clients to ensure their business processes are widely understood, co-developed, and truly relevant to their needs. Throughout his career, he has been fortunate in having opportunities to help configure a variety of software platforms and is enthusiastic about ensuring any digitized forms, data models, and workflows are implemented optimally for the business’ needs.
