John is a registered Lead Auditor, Certified Management System Consultant, and credentialled Executive and Non-Executive Director. John has over 35 years of technical, senior management, and board experience within R&D, production, engineering, quality assurance, and professional services.

Areas of special expertise

John steers the direction of the business and is primarily responsible for its growth. At QualityIQ his focus is sales and project management within quality, safety, environment, information security and integrated management systems. The industries within which John specialises include packaging, automotive, management consultants, law, stockists, textiles, construction, stationery, information technology, industrial cleaning, labour hire, manufacturers, wholesalers and professional services.

Over almost 20 years, Chris has built his career around helping organisations navigate the increasingly complex areas of Risk & Compliance (GRC), Privacy, Data Governance, Security (ISO 27001), Quality, Business Implementation, Change Management, and Legal Affairs – in a number of industries such as technology (SaaS based Fintech and Regtech, consumer electronics, and medical devices), Financial Services (banking and general consulting), media, and international logistics (including Energy Solutions).
Over this time, Chris has worked with start-ups all the way through to large international corporations – gaining a nuanced view of how systems, controls and frameworks can be successfully woven into the fabric and culture of almost any business.  Chris’ opinion is that structuring a well-tailored framework is only the start of the journey – understanding how to achieve buy-in, how to avoid process friction, and ensuring any new framework becomes part of a “new normal” is more an art than a science.

Chris carries a number of qualifications, including a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Diploma of Legal Practice, Graduate Certificate in Commerce, Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management, and Six Sigma Green Belt.  Additionally, Chris is an ISO 27001:2022 certified lead auditor and is currently studying to become a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Chris has worked in organisations large and small – from international Big 4 consulting firms, international consumer and wholesale banks, internationally traded and ASX listed businesses, through to private equity and family held businesses.

Within his area of expertise, Chris can develop and implement frameworks for just about any business, and do so in a manner that will lead to stronger business performance – Chris never sees these frameworks as just a box ticking exercise – rather as an opportunity to gain stakeholder confidence, optimise opportunities, and streamline workflow.

David Poynter

David has over 30 years of management experience in the information technology and printing industries. He has a broad knowledge of business operations with many years in senior roles that included business development, marketing, project management, information systems, change management, and quality assurance.

Qualifications & Experience

David started life as an electrical fitter mechanic and has a Master of Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management. He has worked with a variety of different-sized organizations that including everything from local companies with less than 10 employees to global organizations with more than 10,000. He first became interested in Quality Management Systems when he completed the Leadership Through Quality training at Xerox in the early nineteen eighties. A few years later, he completed training at QAS for AS3902 and successfully implemented his first quality management system. David has always had an interest in how things work and how we can make them better.

David enjoys solving business problems and using technology to manage business processes. With his background in information systems and quality management, he has developed web-based systems that improve most aspects of management systems, anything from document management to auditing. His experience enables him to assist in improving processes in many areas including customer service, manufacturing, warehousing, sales, marketing, accounts, call centres, and technical services.

George is a mechanical engineer with more than 25 years of professional experience. He has been a Lead auditor with international certification bodies for the last 12 years. He has substantial auditing, training, and verification experience in integrated management systems ranging from defense, mining, asset/facilities management, construction, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, telecommunications, public utilities, and the hospitality industry in ANZ and abroad. George is an IRCA (UK) registered Lead Auditor and is qualified in ISO/International standards in the disciplines of Quality, OHSE, Sustainable Event Management systems, Energy Management Systems, Food Safety, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Qualifications & Experience

George has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He also has a master's degree in Business Administration and a second master's degree in OHSE management. George specializes in preparing and coaching clients in implementing integrated management systems (IMS) with simpler documentation and process mapping. He also provides support services to clients in maintaining their accredited management systems.

Jack is an accredited Quality, Safety and Environmental Management System Lead Auditor. Since 2018, he has helped a variety of Quality clients successfully navigate the complexities of achieving and maintaining their ISO certifications.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Throughout his career, he has gained experience in various industry codes, including construction, professional services, wholesaling and procurement, employment services and manufacturing.

With a background in scientific reporting, Jack has a unique approach to developing strong documented systems that operate simply but effectively. This helps to ensure maintaining ISO certification is a smooth and constructive process that guarantees genuine results and improvements to each organisation he works with.

Areas of Special Expertise

Jack is also certified as an auditor to the Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) for the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations. Additionally, he has Diploma-level competency in Leading an initial response to and investigating WHS incidents using the ICAM method.

James has a breadth of qualifications from a number of tertiary institutions. This includes a Bachelor of Business with a double major in Human Resource Management and Employment Relations, a Graduate Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety, a Master in Health, Safety and Environment as well as Lead Auditor Qualifications in management systems.

Areas of special expertise

James has extensive knowledge in preparing clients for certification. This includes concept design, systems creation, implementation assistance, and coaching. James’ passion lies in assisting small to medium-sized businesses to achieve their certification aspirations with limited ongoing administrative burden.

Prior to joining QualityIQ, Jane worked for the previous 20 years primarily within the optical and residential building industries.

Qualifications & Experience

Jane has a Diploma in Quality Auditing attained from the Investment Banking Institute, which qualifies her as a Lead Auditor and she has extended this knowledge to include Risk Management, OHS, Environmental Management, and Food Safety. Jane has been a NSW TAFE teacher at the Ultimo Campus, successfully mentoring students to achieve in their chosen fields. Jane has extensive retail management experience and a firm grasp on the concept of superior customer service and relations and the importance of providing quality products and services to the consumer.

Areas of special expertise

Retailing particularly team management, stock control, purchasing, scheduling, payroll, and delivery of quality products to customers. Jane is very familiar with the concepts of KPIs and performance appraisals. Jane also has a wide knowledge of the construction industry including estimation, material ordering, and OHS Management. Jane is an experienced internal auditor as well as an accomplished consultant who has a diverse clientele that includes but is not limited to the following sectors: medical, dental, construction, demolition, manufacturers, and concrete plants.

John is a qualified lead auditor, has a Bachelor of Business Degree, and qualifications in HR, Occupational Health and Safety, and IT. For over 10 years he managed an ISO ISMS 27001 Certification for a major Virtual Dataroom Company. Since, John has assisted several clients obtain ISO 27001 Certification, and handled Information Security Questionnaires, as a Consultant. John has helped over 100 businesses, big and small, government departments, and private companies with facilitating and implementing, strategic, operational, and performance management plans, as well as conducting executive coaching.

John’s primary area of focus is the Services Sector where he has helped many clients successfully achieve and maintain their Information Security ISO 27001, Quality Certifications ISO 9001 and WHS ISO 45001 Certification. John has also worked with a Quarry, Surveying, Project Management, and Small Builder and IT/Communications Companies. Mark has tertiary qualifications in science (metallurgy) and management (MBA) and has recently achieved recognition as a Certified OHS Professional. Additionally, Mark has specialized vocational training in Workplace Training & Assessment, Quality Auditing, and Radiation Management.

Areas of special expertise

As a hands-on practitioner, Mark has experience in the development, implementation, and management of workplace safety, including work method design, risk assessment and compliance. In addition to experience in WH&S systems, Mark has significant experience in the development and delivery of certification systems and is a qualified Quality Management Systems auditor. In recent times, Mark has specialized in Environmental Management Systems, working both in the areas of certification, assisting clients with achieving and maintaining certification to ISO14001, and sustainability, helping clients to reduce their energy consumption and their footprint. Since moving into consulting 5 years ago, Mark has used these experiences to assist clients in achieving certification to the Quality, Environmental, and WHS Standards in the following sectors: Manufacturing including Heavy Industry and High Volume Production, Construction, Service Industries including Field Service, Recycling including eWaste, Hospitality and Professional Services including Architecture.

She has implemented SQF standards across the business and achieved company’s first SQF accreditation. With her hands-on experience, she has developed and delivered training programs. Owen has 8 years of experience in work health and safety, including the development of management systems, policies, procedures, and safe operating practices. He has recently broadened his skillset to include the development, implementation, and auditing of Quality Management Systems.

Qualifications & Experience

Owen has a bachelor of science with first-class honors in chemistry and has been trained as a Lead Auditor in WHS and Quality Management Systems. He started his career with a WHS regulator and policy body before moving into the practitioner space to support a large scientific and research body. In recent years, Owen has shifted into consulting to support businesses achieve certification for their WHSEQ Management Systems. He has primarily supported businesses in the construction, trades, and engineering sectors.

While his passion remains all things chemical and chemistry-related, he has developed as a generalist in safety, systems, and business management. He thoroughly enjoys collaborating with clients to ensure their business processes are widely understood, co-developed, and truly relevant to their needs. Qualified as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic at the age of 19, Paul worked in an assortment of manufacturing industries for over a decade before entering the IT space as a Sales Engineer. Paul’s adaptive abilities shone through when he moved into a multi-disciplined Account Manager and project-based role in the transport industry, responsible for sales and delivery. From there, he utilised his strong analytical and problem-solving skills as a National Technical / Project Manager in the lighting industry, providing Standards Compliance whilst delivering projects into the commercial and industrial spaces. Joining the health sector in 2017, he delivered Nurse Call solutions into greenfield, brownfield and refurbishment sites in the hospital construction industry.

Paul has 20+ years’ experience in the Technical Financial Services and Retail Technology sectors, having an extensive portfolio in the delivery of specialized consulting and solutions in the sectors. Paul has most recently become certified as a Lead Auditor and Consultant, specializing in ISO27001 Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), where he draws on his extensive technical experience to provide a thorough consultation service. This is an area that Paul has a passion for and strongly believes will be integral for businesses in the future.

Aside from his ISO27001 qualifications, Paul graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology, double majoring in Business Information Systems and Electronic Commerce. Working as Product Development Leader, Ron has significant computer-aided design and manufacturing experience and a strong ability to solve complex technical and design problems. As a long-time small business owner, Ron understands the unique challenges this represents in achieving success and has a first-hand appreciation of the importance of quality-driven processes leading to client satisfaction.

He part-owned and operated a successful international surf travel agency for 20 years. Stuart has a long track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. He has extensive experience in project management, coaching and mentoring, and promotes high-level engagement and knowledge transfer with his clients to drive continuous improvement.

David started life as an electrical fitter mechanic and has a Master of Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management. He has worked with a variety of different-sized organizations that including everything from local companies with less than 10 employees to global organizations with more than 10,000. He first became interested in Quality Management Systems when he completed the Leadership Through Quality training at Xerox in the early nineteen eighties. A few years later, he completed training at QAS for AS3902 and successfully implemented his first quality management system. David has always had an interest in how things work and how we can make them better.

Throughout his career, he has gained experience in various industry codes, including construction, professional services, wholesaling and procurement, employment services and manufacturing.

With a background in scientific reporting, Jack has a unique approach to developing strong documented systems that operate simply but effectively. This helps to ensure maintaining ISO certification is a smooth and constructive process that guarantees genuine results and improvements to each organisation he works with.

Jack is also certified as an auditor to the Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) for the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations. Additionally, he has Diploma-level competency in Leading an initial response to and investigating WHS incidents using the ICAM method.

Jane has a Diploma in Quality Auditing attained from the Investment Banking Institute, which qualifies her as a Lead Auditor and she has extended this knowledge to include Risk Management, OHS, Environmental Management, and Food Safety. Jane has been a NSW TAFE teacher at the Ultimo Campus, successfully mentoring students to achieve in their chosen fields. Jane has extensive retail management experience and a firm grasp on the concept of superior customer service and relations and the importance of providing quality products and services to the consumer.
